New U.S. State Department report released

The U.S. State Department posted today its annual report on worldwide human rights conditions. On Vietnam, it said, the "Government's human rights record remained poor, and it continued to commit serious abuses." The report detailed various restrictions on the right of dissent, religious practice, daily living conditions and the right of due process in court.
